Connect to your network
Add an IRC server or your existing bouncer account in PIIRC. Use the hostname, TLS port, nickname, and authentication details supplied by your network operator.
If a connection fails, check those details and the network’s account requirements. Do not disable TLS to work around a certificate warning; contact the network operator.
PIIRC does not provide a hosted IRC account or always-online service in this release.
History, drafts & notifications
Saving local history and unsent drafts is optional and off by default. Use Settings → History for recording, retention, and deletion. Turning recording off does not delete existing history.
Manage alerts in Settings → Alerts and macOS System Settings → Notifications. Local deletion does not delete copies held by servers, recipients, or backups.
Read the PIIRC privacy policy →Report abuse or a safety issue
Use Conversation Settings to hide messages from specified nicknames or mute alerts. These controls apply locally; contact the channel or network operators for network-level enforcement.
For abusive use or safety problems involving PIIRC, email P.Industries with only the minimum evidence needed. No conversation is attached automatically.

Free. Requires macOS 14 or later and access to an IRC server or compatible bouncer. TLS protects your connection to the server; PIIRC does not provide end-to-end message encryption. Optional file sharing requires your own compatible HTTPS upload service.
