Player & developer guide
Playing and building Arkline
Arkline is an early-access space sandbox built in Rust. Fly ships, gather resources, operate drones, trade, and build an operation in a persistent world. Join the official universe and help improve it with the community.
Where to start
| Destination | Purpose | Availability |
| arkline.network | Discover Arkline, find downloads and follow the project | Available |
| play.arkline.network | Play in your browser | Early access; choose production or test when connecting |
| my.arkline.network | Planned account and developer portal for registration, sign-in, account management and API access | Planned; not a gameplay client or a currently available account service |
| Official Wiki | Player, operator and contributor documentation | Available |
Native client downloads appear on the release page when that platform has a verified build. The browser client uses WASM and connects to the same world as compatible native clients. Use matching release files and check compatibility notes before upgrading a server.
Your pilot and credentials
A pilot name is public. Your saved game credential proves ownership of that pilot; keep it private and backed up. Credentials are specific to the server you joined. Production, test and independently hosted worlds have separate pilots, inventories and economies.
Game credentials are currently separate from website sign-in. The planned account portal does not yet provide game account recovery, developer API keys or shared website/game login. There is no shared OAuth sign-in available today. Do not enter a game resume token into an unrelated website or include it in a URL.
What you can do today
| Activity | Current capabilities |
| Flight | Manual flight, navigation, warp and travel between connected systems |
| Resources | Target locks, timed mining cycles, finite ore and automated gathering jobs |
| Fleet | Drones, ship storage, and explicitly delegated ship control |
| Economy | Escrow trading, personal storage, corporations and shared storage |
| Stations | Private hangars and quarters, walking, boarding and ship selection |
| Building | Constrained surface props and local experimentation |
The server validates movement, ownership, range, timing, capacity and power. A client animation or a disconnected screen does not confirm that an action succeeded. Reconnect and inspect the latest state before repeating an action with an uncertain outcome.
One official universe, built together
P.Industries focuses on one shared official universe, shaped by its players and contributors. Code, original art, documentation and reproducible test reports are all ways to help. The developer section covers local development, server downloads and independent hosting separately from the player journey.
Trust and current limits
The economic verifier can replay published transactions and compare them with a checkpoint you previously saved. This checks economic consistency; it does not prove that mining occurred, guarantee operator honesty or make the economy confidential. Public economic history can reveal transfers and membership. An offline ship may remain in the world; presence is shown separately.
Arkline is not yet a distributed universe operated by permissionless community nodes. Automatic federation, node uptime payments and shared cross-server economies are not implemented. Operators should test backups and recovery before inviting players. Persistence alone is not a guarantee of continuous availability or proven large-scale capacity.
Developers and contributors
The API reference documents the current game protocol. For architecture, source layout, self-hosting and development guidance, use the official Wiki and source repository . The planned my.arkline.network portal is intended to make account and developer access easier; it does not replace the published protocol or create API credentials today.
